What's collected
Your email address, and only if you enter it in the subscribe form. Nothing else. No name, no age, no health information, no symptoms. This site never asks you about your body, and you should never send that information here.
Your address is not stored anywhere when you submit the form. It's placed in a cryptographically signed link and mailed to you. It is written to the subscriber list only after you click the confirmation link and press the button on the page it opens. If you never do, it is never stored.
What's not collected
- No analytics, no tracking pixels, no cookies, no fingerprinting
- No advertising networks and no third-party scripts of any kind
- No open or click tracking in emails
- No profile of you, and no attempt to identify you across sites
Reading this site anonymously requires no action on your part. The web server keeps standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for operational and security purposes; these are not linked to subscribers and are discarded on a rolling basis.
Why this matters more than usual here
Subscribing to a PCOS newsletter can imply something about your health. That's exactly why this site collects as little as possible, refuses to track behavior, and does not run advertising. An advertising network on a page like this would be inferring a medical condition about you. There isn't one, and there won't be.
Who can see it
The list is stored in Amazon Web Services, which processes the mail and hosts the site. AWS acts as a service provider and does not use your address for its own purposes. Nobody else has access. Your address is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with any other person or company.
PCOS Decoded has no financial relationship with any clinic, telehealth service, laboratory, or drug manufacturer discussed in its posts, and no affiliate arrangements of any kind.
Getting off the list, or deleted
- Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any email, then press one button on the page it opens. No login and no survey. The button is there because some email security software opens every link in a message, and without it that software could take you off the list by accident.
- Delete entirely: email hello@pcosdecoded.com and ask. Your address will be permanently removed, not just marked inactive.
- See what's held: ask at the same address and you'll get it, which will be one line: your email and the date you confirmed.
Requests are handled by hand, usually within a few days. You do not need to explain why, and you will not be asked to.
Email authentication
Mail is sent with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC configured, so you can verify that anything claiming to come from pcosdecoded.com actually did. Emails will never ask you for a password, a payment, or personal health details.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what's collected or how it's used, subscribers will be told by email before it takes effect, not quietly updated with a new date at the top.
